Who We Work With

Collaborations create big outcomes

REV’s mission is to cultivate vibrant and prosperous rural communities in eastern Oregon by connecting university talent and resources with community-driven initiatives.

  • REV partners with local governments and organizations to produce positive results for counties, cities, and businesses across eastern Oregon.

  • Student involvement and experiential learning is woven into each project to provide early talent with career pathways, fill gaps in the regional workforce, and attract and retain future rural leaders in their communities. REV strives to improve the talent pipeline throughout the region and support the needs of employers, at all levels, and equip young leaders to pursue new ideas, policies, and economic opportunities in eastern Oregon.

  • REV facilitates networking between faculty at EOU and communities across eastern Oregon and southeastern Washington in need of assistance. As a partner, faculty collaborate with community leaders and students to develop action steps and deliverables to address community-identified issues.

Faculty Affiliates are faculty, staff, researchers, and clinicians, who are working in partnership with REV on collaborative community-engaged research, impact projects, and initiatives.

The REV Center provides EOU undergraduate and graduate students real-world, hands-on experiences and helps communities throughout eastern Oregon. Our programs inspire students across all disciplines by offering opportunities for fieldwork, research, internships, and service learning with local partners.

Imagine creative, passionate, and dedicated EOU students and faculty working to make a difference in your community. That’s exactly what we’ve been doing in communities across eastern Oregon through the Rural Engagement & Vitality Center.
